What is L-glutamine?
L-glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body, most commonly found in the muscles, particularly the skeletal muscles. Thought to decrease muscle breakdown after extreme physical exertion and stress, L-glutamine is known chiefly as a popular supplement for endurance athletes and bodybuilders.

What are the health benefits of L-glutamine?
In the body, L-glutamine converts into glutamic acid, which is necessary for good brain function. Studies have also shown that L-glutamine nourishes the lining of the intestine and can promote healthy gastrointestinal function.
